My interest in art is rooted in my early fascination with cereal box characters, dioramas in the toy section of catalogues, wacky advertising, and of course MAD Magazine.
My application in art is based on filling my time while “imprisoned” in five-star hotel rooms doing my day job as a tour manager for demanding rock stars. While logging countless hours of being present, eating overpriced room-service, and waiting for the phone to ring, I have learned to disassemble and reuse anything of aesthetic value in a hotel room. If ink or glue will stick to it, I will use it.
To me, most creations are things that are made from discarded or repurposed items, to be enjoyed, then left behind, much like cereal boxes, or MAD Magazines.
I offer a slightly dark take on a uniquely skewed existence we all share. I hope you like what you see.
